This raised ground floor flat was brought to us by a local agent. It had been occupied by the previous owners for a number of years and was in a poor state of repair. The once 3m high ceilings in the original ante room had been lowered, ruining one of the best features of the flat.
We set about restoring the ceiling heights back to their 1890's levels. To the front of the flat we created a stunning master bedroom suite, with marble clad en-suite. We added another double bedroom to the rear in the 'outrigger', with the family bathroom next to it. Finally, in what was once the main drawing room of the house, we formed a large open-plan kitchen and living area, restoring the period features, including a salvaged Carrara marble fireplace.
The flat was sold for approaching £1400/sq ft.
